Shipping & Delivery

At 12K CARBON, we ship carbon-fibre motorcycle parts to customers in Australia and around the world. Most products can be shipped internationally without any special arrangement. Because carbon-fibre components vary greatly in shape and size, the shipping method and dispatch location may depend on the packed dimensions of the item, stock availability, its destination and carrier restrictions.

Where we ship from

Most orders are dispatched from Australia. Products that are in stock at our Sydney location are prepared and dispatched directly from Sydney as soon as reasonably possible.

Depending on product size, availability and destination, an order may also be dispatched from one of our overseas fulfillment locations or partner warehouses, including locations in Hong Kong or China. The dispatch location does not change the product purchased or the warranty coverage.

Shipping within Australia

Standard delivery within Australia is free unless a product page or checkout states otherwise. Sydney-stocked products are dispatched directly using Australia Post or another suitable tracked service.

Oversized, remote-area or special-order products may require a separate arrangement. If an additional charge or different dispatch plan is necessary, we will contact you before dispatch and will not proceed until the arrangement has been confirmed.

International shipping

The majority of international orders are dispatched from Australia using Australia Post International Express. Shipping charges for standard-size products are based on packed weight and destination.

International shipments are sent using a tracked express service wherever available. Tracking information is emailed after dispatch. Carrier delivery estimates do not include production, preparation or customs processing time and are not guaranteed.

Oversized products

Some motorcycle bodywork is lightweight but physically large. Carriers may charge these parcels by volumetric weight, and Australia Post International applies maximum package dimensions that vary by service and destination.

If a product exceeds Australia Post International limits, we may:

  • dispatch it from an alternative warehouse closer to the customer;
  • use another tracked express carrier or specialist delivery service;
  • split the order into multiple parcels where safer or more economical; or
  • contact the customer with a personalised shipping quotation.

Products requiring special arrangements may be marked Oversized Item – Shipping Quote Required.

Shipping quotations

If an international price cannot be calculated accurately at checkout, contact us before ordering with the product link or name, quantity, destination country and postal code.

After checking packed dimensions and available express services, we will provide a quotation. Where appropriate, we can issue a Shopify invoice or draft order containing the confirmed shipping charge.

If an order is placed before an oversized quotation is completed and the amount paid does not cover an available service, we will contact you before dispatch. You may approve and pay the additional charge, remove the affected item, or cancel the affected item for a refund.

Carrier selection

Australia Post International Express is our primary international service for standard parcels. Oversized parcels may require another postal, courier or specialist express service. We select the most suitable tracked service according to parcel dimensions, destination, availability and safe handling requirements.

If express service is unavailable for a destination or an alternative arrangement is required, we will contact you before dispatch.

Inventory, processing and dispatch plans

Inventory availability and dispatch plans may change due to sales, production schedules, supplier availability or carrier restrictions. Stock information is maintained as accurately as possible, but it is not a guarantee that every item will dispatch from the location initially expected.

If a change materially affects your order, dispatch location, expected timing or shipping cost, we will contact you using the details supplied at checkout. If we do not contact you, your order will continue through our normal preparation and dispatch process and will be sent as soon as reasonably possible.

Some products are stocked, while others may be made to order or sourced from a partner warehouse. Any production or lead time shown on a product page is separate from carrier transit time.

Multiple shipments

Orders containing products from different locations or with different availability may arrive in more than one parcel. Tracking will be supplied for each shipment where available. We may hold items to ship together or dispatch them separately depending on safety, availability and cost.

Tracking and delivery

Tracking details are sent to the email address provided at checkout. Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking and ensuring that someone can receive the parcel when required.

Please make sure the delivery address, postal code, telephone number and email address are correct. Contact us promptly if a change is needed. We cannot guarantee an address change after production, packing or carrier processing has begun.

Costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, unclaimed parcel, refused delivery or repeated delivery attempts may be charged to the customer.

Customs duties and import taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, brokerage or local handling fees. Unless expressly stated at checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or shipping charge and are the recipient’s responsibility.

Customers are responsible for supplying information requested by their local customs authority or the carrier. Customs delays are outside our control.

Damage, loss or delivery problems

Inspect the parcel and products promptly. If packaging or a product appears damaged, retain all packaging and contact us with the order number and photographs of the parcel exterior, shipping label, internal packaging and affected product.

We will review the issue and work with the carrier. Where a verified issue is covered by our applicable policy, our priority is to arrange a suitable replacement whenever reasonably possible.
